Napoli have named their travel squad for their trip to Switzerland. The partenopei take on BSC Young Boys tomorrow in hopes to go three-for-three with Europa League wins, but they'll have to do it without a few familiar names.
Three regulars in the matchday squad this season have been left out, but only two we knew of ahead of time. Walter Gargano is recovering from facial surgery, and Miguel Britos from a muscle pull, but one other Napoli player has been left out without word as to why.
Camilo Zuniga will be staying in Italy, marking the second straight Europa League road match he's been left home for. Last time against Slovan Bratislava, it was explained that he was having a "muscular issue," because Napoli delights in being incredibly vague about injuries. This time, however, we don't even have that much, only the knowledge that he won't be travelling with the squad.
Josip Radosevic is also staying home, but that's because he's not registered in the Europa League and wasn't yet eligible for the "B" list of under-21 players who have been at the club for at least three years who don't need to be registered.
The list of all twenty players heading to Switzerland is below, 18 of whom will be in tomorrow's matchday squad.
Goalkeepers: Rafael Cabral, Mariano Andujar, Nikola Contini
Defenders: Christian Maggio, Giandomenico Mesto, Raul Albiol, Henrique Buss, Kalidou Koulibaly, Faouzi Ghoulam
Midfielders: David Lopez, Gokhan Inler, Jorginho, Jonathan De Guzman, Marek Hamsik, Dries Mertens, Michu
Forwards: Jose Callejon, Lorenzo Insigne, Duvan Zapata, Gonzalo Higuain
