As we head into the final day of the summer mercato, it’s looking like it’s going to be a busy day for Napoli. It needs to be a busy day, though, because this transfer window hasn’t quite gone to plan, leaving Napoli with several needs to fill and little time left to do it in.
The partenopei still need another wide attacker, they still need a right back and possibly a center back, and they very much need a goalkeeper who can be a long-term piece in the club. It’s unlikely that they get all of those holes filled, but if they can at least make some kind of impact on deadline day.
Of course, they still have some pieces to offload as well. Three of those appear to be on their way out in a big deal, but others are still lurking and proving difficult to move. Other clubs are also always lurking around some of Napoli’s better players, so lets hope that this day ends with a mostly positive mood, and that we don’t get any news that leaves Napoli fans aghast.
