Napoli are facing a must-win match against Atalanta with their league position slipping - and for some reason Rafa Benitez has elected to go after this match without his captain, as Marek Hamsik has been left on the bench.
The surprising decision leaves Napoli with an attacking midfield band that features a tired-looking Manolo Gabbiadini and the woefully out-of-form pair of Jose Callejon and Jonathan De Guzman. A fresh and in-form Hamsik would make far more sense than any of those three players, but instead he'll have to wait until later in the match for his opportunity.
Elsewhere, Henrique and Miguel Britos start in place of the suspended duo of Raul Albiol and Faouzi Ghoulam, while Gokhan Inler comes in to midfield for Jorginho. Christian Maggio continues at right back despite being thoroughly unimpressive on Thursday, though given that the other option was Giandomenico Mesto, maybe that's not such a surprise.
Meanwhile, former Napoli manager Edy Reja is starting a pair of former Napoli players in Luca Cigarini and Guglierlmo Stendaro, as well as the perpetual thorn in Napoli's side known as German Denis.
Napoli: Andujar; Maggio, Henrique, Koulibaly, Britos; Inler, Lopez; Callejon, Gabbiadini, De Guzman; Higuain
Atalanta: Sportiello; Stendardo, Bellini, Biava, Dramé; Migliaccio, Cigarini; Zappacosta, Moralez, Gomez; Denis
