Napoli release travel squad list for second leg of Champions League tie against Athletic Bilabo

Giuseppe Bellini

With what could easily turn out to be Napoli's single most important match of the season fast approaching on Wednesday, Rafa Benitez has named his squad that he will take to Spain with him on Tuesday.

Both Henrique and Camilo Zuniga return to availability after sitting out last week thanks to fitness concerns. That will give Rafa significantly greater flexibility and options in his lineup and substitution options, and will leave the bench much stronger than a week ago. Blerim Dzemaili remains unavailable as he's believed to be the subject of transfer negotiations (more on that later in the day).

The full squad traveling to Spain is below:

Goalkeepers: Rafael Cabral, Mariano Andujar, Roberto Colombo, Nikita Contini

Defenders: Christian Maggio, Giandomenico Mesto, Henrique Buss, Raul Albiol, Miguel Britos, Kalidou Koulibaly, Camilo Zuniga, Faouzi Ghoulam

Midfielders: Walter Gargano, Jorginho, Gokhan Inler, Dries Mertens, Marek Hamsik

Forwards: Lorenzo Insigne, Jose Callejon,  Michu, Duvan Zapata, Gonzalo Higuain

There's been no word or indication as to potential lineup changes. Hopefully we see Faouzi Ghoulam and Gokhan Inler, as their ability to assist the attack without much (if any) cost to the defense is much greater than that of Miguel Britos and Walter Gargano. Napoli will have to push hard and early, as they absolutely have to score at least one goal, preferably two.

We also don't know where things stand in the decision of who to start between Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens. Mertens was the far better of the two in his substitute appearance last week, though if Insigne can play the hero and win the tie for Napoli, it could go a long ways towards helping heal his fractured relationship with the fans.
