In the first three matches of Napoli’s season, one player has been the standout star: Lorenzo Insigne. On Tuesday in their 2-0 Champions League playoff win over Nice, he was excellent again, and was rewarded for his performance with a late goal to seal the match, the tie, and Napoli’s spot in the Champions League group stage.
That'll do it. Insigne adds one more for Napoli and what a finish it was. 4-0 on aggregate. #UCL https://t.co/xpgNR8hDj8

It’s an excellent finish of a ball from Faouzi Ghoulam that actually went a bit behind where Insigne seemed to want it. Insigne settled it well, though, and used that extra beat of time to let his shooting lane clear, then beat Yoan Cardinale to the far post with ease.
It was also a goal very typical of the way Napoli have played so far this season, keeping the ball moving and throwing their opponents off balance. They seem to be steadily improving on this style from last season, and if they really manage to reach it’s potential, they could be a scary, scary team in the Champions League group stage — not to mention in Serie A.
This could be a fun, fun season.
