We've known for a couple of months now that Napoli would face either Hellas Verona or third-division AC Pavia in the fifth round of the Coppa Italia. Now, we know: Verona beat Pavia 1-0, with a stoppage time goal from Claudio Winck, and will advance to face Napoli on December 15th.

The win was the first for Verona under Gigi Del Neri, also his first in charge after taking over for the recently-dismissed Andrea Mandorlini. Verona have won two matches in the Coppa Italia this season, having beaten Foggia back in August -- but they're still winless in Serie A, and are firmly rooted at the bottom of the table. They've lost five of their last six matches and eight overall this season, and that's just not a good sign for how their season will end up.

Napoli have already faced Hellas Verona this season, beating them 2-0 at the Bentegodi on November 22nd. Lorenzo Insigne stood tall -- pardon the pun -- as the man of the match that day, with a wonderful goal and classy assist to lead the win, but Napoli completely dominated the proceedings of the day. That proved to be the penultimate match for Mandorlini, who was fired after a 3-2 loss to Frosinone last weekend.

The match will be played at the Stadio San Paolo. The start time has not been announced yet. Napoli won the Coppa Italia two years ago, but fell in the semi-finals to Lazio last season.
