Josip Radošević joins Eibar on loan

Just recently back from a loan in Croatia, Radošević is again leaving on loan -- perhaps for the last time.

You could be forgiven if you forgot that midfielder Josip Radošević was a Napoli player. He spent the last year on loan at HNK Rijeka in Croatia, and hasn't been involved with the club since returning from that loan three weeks ago. Now he's off again, this time heading to Spain to join La Liga side SD Eibar for the rest of the season, as rumored over the weekend and announced Monday morning on Eibar's website.

Radošević, 21, didn't get to play as much in his native country as he or Napoli would have hoped, with just seven starts this season after playing more regularly last year. Apparently that falloff lead Napoli to be willing to part with Radošević, as Eibar hold an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season, the terms of which are currently unknown.

That willingness is fairly understandable -- Radošević barely ever featured for Napoli, and with the addition of Alberto Grassi this month and expected permanent signing of Nathaniel Chalobah, there's not much room left for him as a young, defensive-minded midfielder in Naples. It's unfortunate, because Radošević is a fairly talented player in his own right, but Napoli have found better options for their current vision and plan.

That happens sometimes in this game, and we wish Radošević only the best going forward in his career, be that at Eibar, with Napoli, or somewhere else entirely.
