The Champions League playoff round is down to it’s last gasp. There’s one match to go for Napoli to make the group stage and the Champions League proper, and they come into their match with OGC Nice in France with a 2-0 aggregate lead and everything on the line.
So there should be little surprise to Napoli fans to see Maurizio Sarri roll out the same lineup that did so well last week. Nice, however, have made numerous changes, thanks in part to two red cards, and thanks to two stars returning to fitness.
Mario Balotelli and Wesley Sneijder both start for Nice, though no one is quite sure how long they can go after playing significant minutes in their return to action just a few days ago. With their return comes a big change in Nice’s shape, and likely a much more proactive approach as well — something Napoli will have to be careful to handle, after dealing with nothing like a proactive approach from neither Nice nor Hellas Verona in the last week.
Napoli: Pepe Reina; Elseid Hysaj, Raul Albiol, Kalidou Koulibaly, Faouzi Ghoulam; Allan, Jorginho, Marek Hamsik; Jose Callejon, Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne
Nice: Yoan Cardinale; Arnaud Souquet, Dante, Maxime Le Marchand, Christophe Jallet; Adrien Tameze, Jean Michael Seri; Remi Walter, Wesley Sneijder, Allan Saint-Maximin; Mario Balotelli
