Napoli vs. Roma: Derby del Sole match discussion, team news, and how to watch

Napoli would hate to lose this match anyways, but they absolutely cannot afford to lose it after the last few weeks.

Let's not beat around the bush: February was a miserable month for Napoli. Basically everything that could go wrong did, and now as we enter March, they find themselves on the road to Rome, set to face Roma in a massively important Derby del Sole.

The stakes are higher in this match than in most renditions of this age old rivalry in recent history, because if Napoli fail to win, they could all but hand second place is Serie A over to Roma at the end of the match. Napoli's fading title dreams would be dead, being in the Champions League next season would be far from guaranteed, and the rest of this season would be an uphill struggle at best.

And the best way to avoid such a fate? Just freaking win, guys.

Of course, that's much easier said than done. Despite Roma suffering a midweek setback of their own against Lazio in the Copa Italia, they have been in absolutely blistering form in the league of late, with a rampant attack that looks well suited to exploiting some of Napoli's recent woes in defense. Roma aren't perfect, of course, and if the Napoli attack can get clicking early, this will be anyone's game.

Let's just hope the partenopei are up to the task.
