So. Last weekend sucked. A lot. Napoli’s momentum is steadily heading in the wrong direction at a time when they desperately need it to be positive, and now they’ve got an ill-timed match in Turin to deal with. It’s time for the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal against Juventus, and that means that there’s a lot on the line.
Both teams have rotated to some degree, with Maurizio Sarri giving rare starts to Marko Rog, Christian Maggio, and Ivan Strinic, as well as handing Arkadiudz Milik his first start since returning from his knee injury. Juventus’ starting trios in defense and attack are their usual formidable setup, but Neto is starting in goal and their midfield setup is slightly rotated from normal, and all in all the changes are going to make for an interesting -- and nervy — matchup.
