Napoli have now gone five games without a win in the league, and it's about time to break that run and get another win. With Chievo Verona coming into town, Napoli need to get their stomping shoes on and get back to their winning ways with an emphatic victory.
Chievo are in decent form at the moment, however, with two wins in their last four matches. Napoli, of course, have none in that time, and have actually been out-scored by Chievo, with the Flying Donkeys scoring five goals in that span to Napoli's three. Considering Chievo's reputation as a defensive team, that's something of a concern for Napoli fans looking at the comparison.
Still, there's plenty of reason for optimism. Even when Chievo were at their best earlier this season, Napoli handled them with ease and could have beaten them by a far wider margin than the 1-0 finish they wound up with. Hopefully they can find that kind of form again, because they can't afford to let this winless slide run any longer.
The biggest thing Napoli can get to help propel them to a win right now would be for someone new to step up, someone who has been struggling lately. Getting a major contribution from a player like Allan or Jorginho or Elseid Hysaj or Faouzi Ghoulam, all of whom have been shaky in most of their recent appearances, would be huge to help lift the team's spirits and chances to win.

At A Glance
Chievo Verona: 10th; 9W 7D 11L; League Form: WLDWLL
Napoli: 2nd; 17W 7D 3L; League Form: DDLWWW
Reverse Fixture: Chievo Verona 0-1 Napoli
Napoli outplayed Chievo for most of a very physical match at the Bentegodi, but only managed to score a single goal -- though that goal was one of the best Gonzalo Higuain has scored this season. Despite the tight scoreline, Chievo were never really in the match, they just packed enough numbers back to stall Napoli's attack. That was also the game that saw Napoli rise to second place for the first time this season, and was very important for their overall rise in the league after a hard start to the campaign.
