It is indeed a very nice day in Nice, France, as Napoli prepare to take on Ligue 1 side OGC Nice at the Allianz Riviera stadium. It's the first big test of the pre-season for the partenopei, with our boys in blue hoping to carry their strong performances against lower-league opponents over to a top-division side.
That nice day could be marred, however -- there are scattered reports in France that there have been clashesbetween visiting Napoli fans and local police. Given problems that Inter fans had there when they had a friendly there awhile back, maybe they were just on high alert and over-reac... oh:
French police used tear gas after #Napoli fans threw fireworks and lit some fires near the #OGCNice stadium.

Yeah, that's not good. Most of the reports indicate that things kicked off with the police when Napoli fans started hucking around fireworks and smoke bombs, which, come on guys. Be better guests than that. Don't give the club and the rest of us fans a bad name.
