Strinic and Gargano return to squad to face Roma

Two key depth players for Napoli are healthy and back in the squad after missing the club's last several matches, and the timing couldn't be better.

After struggling with a lack of depth created by several injuries and suspensions, Napoli finally look to be getting back to something resembling a full-strength squad again.

Walter Gargano and Ivan Strinic have been out for weeks, leaving Napoli very thin in midfield and at fullback. They were both back in training earlier this week and now have been declared fit enough to play if needed, adding to Napoli's depth alongside Raul Albiol and Faouzi Ghoulam, who sat out the club's last match with yellow card suspensions.

While neither Gargano or Strinic are likely to play this weekend, having both available will make managing the squad easier with the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal coming up in the middle of the week. Sadly, for some reason that "management" still looks to mean that Marek Hamsik will start on the bench, but that's another frustrating issue entirely.

The full 23 man squad named for the match is listed below.

Goalkeepers: Rafael Cabral, Mariano Andujar, Roberto Colombo

Defenders: Christian Maggio, Giandomenico Mesto, Faouzi Ghoulam, Ivan Strinic, Camilo Zuniga, Raul Albiol, Miguel Britos, Kalidou Koulibaly, Henrique

Midfielders: Jorginho, David Lopez, Walter Gargano, Dries Mertens, Jonathan De Guzman, Marek Hamsik

Forwards: Jose Callejon, Lorenzo Insigne, Manolo Gabbiadini, Duvan Zapata, Gonzalo Higuain
