Napoli have named their matchday squad to face Wolfsburg in Germany in the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal tie, and there's one notable absence and Camilo Zuniga has been left in Naples.
Zuniga is apparently nursing a hamstring injury, just another injury setback in his second straight season that has been basically lost to injury. The Colombian has spent most of the last six months on the sidelines with yet another knee injury, though he made three cameos as a late substitute over the last month as he's tried to recover his full fitness. That effort will not have to wait some more, however, as he'll likely be out at least another week or two with this latest injury -- which in Zuniga Injury Time more realistically means he'll be out at least a month.
Otherwise, the squad is fairly strong and gives Napoli their best possible chance of getting a positive result in Wolfsburg. Interestingly, Ivan Strinic was listed in the "travel squad" making the trip, but he won't be in the matchday squad as he's cup-tied to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk for the Europa League.
The full 22 man squad of available players is listed below, though only 18 will be in the match-day squad.
Goalkeepers: Rafael Cabral, Mariano Andujar, Nikita Contini
Defenders: Christian Maggio, Giandomenico Mesto, Faouzi Ghoulam, Henrique, Miguel Britos, Raul Albiol, Kalidou Koulibaly
Midfielder: Walter Gargano, Jorginho, David Lopez, Gokhan Inler, Dries Mertens, Marek Hamsik, Jonathan De Guzman
Forwards: Jose Callejon, Lorenzo Insigne, Manolo Gabbiadini, Gonzalo Higuain, Duvan Zapata
