The injury news is a bit of a mixed bag for Napoli right now. They've been missing two key attackers since the international break with Dries Mertens and Manolo Gabbiadini both nursing injuries. Now with the Bologna match approaching after a full week off, Napoli were hoping to get both players back -- but that's not the case.
Instead, just one of the stricken duo has been cleared to play and made the trip to Bologna -- Dries Mertens. The Belgian winger has been out with a thigh injury, but will be available off the bench as Napoli play the relegation-threatened side.
Gabbiadini, sadly, was not cleared to return from the ankle injury he suffered on Italy duty, despite hopes from Napoli's medical staff that he would be. He should still be back soon, though, and will likely be available against Legia Warsaw at midweek.
The full squad Napoli traveled with to face Bologna on Sunday is listed below.
Goalkeepers: Pepe Reina, Gabriel, Rafael Cabral
