Napoli just love to keep the good news flowing. As if it weren't enough that Lorenzo Insigne will miss the rest of the season, or that Dries Mertens had to miss matches due to head injury, now there's word that this season's best defender is hurt. Kalidou Koulibaly picked up an injury during practice on Saturday.
There's a bit of good news, though: it sounds like the centerback suffered just a bit of significant bruising. The Napoli twitter account has already made it clear that x-rays show that there was no fracture:
A #CastelVolturno differenziato per #Mesto, lavoro chiuso in anticipo per #Koulibaly:contusione al malleolo, la radiografia esclude fratture

Koulibaly was already set to miss Sunday's match against Empoli due to suspension, so let's hope that he recovers in time for the trip to the San Siro to take on Milan. The Frenchman may have only arrived in Naples this past summer, but he's already won over the majority of the fans with his imposing presence and solid maneuvering in the back line. The last thing this rattly defense needs is his absence.
