Atalanta v. Napoli: Lineups, match discussion, and brooding

Marco Luzzani

Napoli are facing Atalanta today, hoping to take advantage of the struggles that the nerazzurri have suffered of late. A win is very, very badly needed today, both for the momentum of the season and so that Rafa can keep his job if the whole "win or else" ultimatum is true.

As such, the partenopei are rolling out a high-strength lineup. Given injuries, this is about as good a lineup as Napoli can put out right now, though with two changes from the side that romped over Hellas Verona at the weekend. Dries Mertens has gotten his standard swap in from Lorenzo Inisgne, and the still-not-quite-back-at-full-fitness Jorginho is being rested for Gokhan Inler.

I feel like I should say something inspirational here, but I've got nothing. Just don't lose. That would be bad.

Atalanta: Sportiello; Benalouane, Stendardo, Cherubin, Del Grosso; Raimondi, Cigarini, Migliaccio; Baselli; Denis, Maxi Moralez

Napoli: Rafael; Maggio, Albiol, Koulibaly, Ghoulam; Inler, Lopez; Mertens, Hamsik, Callejon; Higuain
