That was one heck of an emotional match. Crushed off the bat by a goal for Hellas Verona 26 seconds in, then Napoli went on the offensive and didn't stop the rest of the way.
This was the most complete performance we've seen from Napoli in a very long time. Lorenzo Insigne dragged the team around when they needed to get back on their feet in the first half. Marek Hamsik was absolutely ascendant, crafting beautiful passes and scoring a much-needed brace. Gonzalo Higuain broke his own scoreless streak with a hat trick, and might have had four goals if not for an offsides call. Rafael Cabral was at the top of his game, keeping Napoli in the match at times that it looked like they'd surely surrender another goal.
This was one to remember for a long time. For now, let's just enjoy the moment.
This goal made Callejon the Serie A goalscoring leader with seven so far in the campaign, by the way.
