Napoli v. Roma: Lineups and Match Thread

New, comments
Giuseppe Bellini

Injuries have forced both sides to make changes from their normal alignments today. For Napoli, Jorginho fell ill this morning and Valon Behrami picked up another knee injury in training, so both are unavailable. That means the hosts will be lining up with Gokhan Inler and Blerim Dzemaili in midfield; hopefully that pairing will be more effective than the last couple of times it's been used.

For Roma, injuries to Francesco Totti and Federico Balzaretti and a suspension for Daniele De Rossi have forced Rudi Garcia in to a slightly unconventional lineup, with Gervinho starting up top, Michel Bastos on the left wing, and Alessandro Florenzi on the right wing. That gives Roma Mattia Destro and Adem Ljajic to use off the bench, which could make the last half hour of the match a frightening thing for Napoli fans.

Lineups:
Napoli: Reina; Maggio, Fernandez, Albiol, Ghoulam; Inler, Dzemaili; Mertens, Hamsik, Callejon; Higuain

Roma: De Sanctis; Maicon, Benatia, Castan, Romagnoli; Strootman, Nainggolan; Florenzi, Pjanic, Bastos; Gervinho
