Torino vs. Napoli: Lineups + Match Talk

Giuseppe Bellini

Gee, this playing on a Monday thing feels a bit odd, doesn't it? Although really, I think the biggest question here is: why do Roma get an extra day of rest? What have they done to earn it, eh?

Anyway, it appears the rumors that Blerim Džemaili would play the role of Marek Hamšík in today's production were made up to generate a few clicks (or to scare Marek back into being Marek) because what we have here is pretty much Napoli's strongest lineup. Well, except for the fact that Anthony Réveillère plays while Christian Maggio recovers.

Take a look at the preview

The long awaited reunion between Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne, last seen together in that dramatic season under Zeman when Pescara got themselves promoted (and promptly fell to pieces) will have to wait. Alessio Cerci, too, is on the bench. Instead Torino are starting Riccardo Meggiorini and Paulo Baretto up front today, possibly because the granata haven't scored in their last three matches.

Surely Napoli will do their very best to help them break that streak. Sigh.

Torino:Padelli; Bovo, Glik, Moretti; Maksimovic, Kurtic, Tachtisids, El Kaddouri, Darmian; Barreto, Meggiorini

Napoli: Reina; Reveillere, Fernandez, Albiol, Ghoulam; Inler, Jorginho; Mertens, Hamsik, Callejòn; Higuain
