There's just a half hour until kickoff at the San Paolo, but behind the scenes Napoli are still hard at work. The club have made official the signing of Duván Zapata, tweeting a photo of the Colombian striker putting pen to paper alongside Riccardo Bigon.
The signing was expected to take place on Monday, although it was believed that Zapata would be in the stands today. Perhaps Napoli were simply eager to start their first match day off on the right foot. Whatever the reasoning is, the partenopei now have a 22 year old forward fresh from Estudiantes.
And...still don't have decent backups in defense. Yeah, it's nice to have another option up front, but if Rafa Benítez is going to be dropping Paolo Cannavaro, the likes of Bigon might do well to look toward signing a couple of solid center backs. It might relieve some of the sheer terror Napoli supporters are forced to deal with every time the opposition earns a free kick or a corner.
