It's official: Antonio Rosati has moved from Napoli to Fiorentina. The details of the contract aren't clear, as Fiorentina haven't even bothered to put it on their official page. How ungrateful are they!
Really, though, Neto is almost certain to be on his way out and Ciprian Tătărușanu hasn't exactly looked great between the sticks, so you'd think the viola would be thrilled to be getting a fourth-choice 31-year-old goalkeeper who played all of ten games over the past three and a half years. For five of those games he was on loan, but only three of them occurred while he was at Fiorentina.
Napoli absolutely should be thrilled, though, to be getting Rosati off their books. The man was earning €800,000 per year to not even sit on the bench. That's as much as Faouzi Ghoulam, as David López, as Kalidou Koulibaly. It's more than Jorginho makes, for goodness sake.
Upon reflection, does anyone know how one goes about becoming a fourth-choice goalkeeper for a club situated in a lovely Italian city?
