Torino 1, Napoli 0: Player ratings and Man of the Match poll

Everyone sucked, more or less.

This is going to be an unconventional player ratings post, but after that awful performance from Napoli against Torino, you can probably understand.

Marek Hamsik - 6 - Was the only Napoli attacker actually capable of creating anything vaguely resembling danger. Had one shot beat Torino's keeper and whizz just past the far post and slipped in a few good balls for Higuain and Callejon that just didn't come off because of poor runs from his fellow attackers. The decision to pull Hamsik off was mystifying, as he was playing well and seemed to have energy to spare, but Rafa Benitez and logical substitutions don't often go together.

Everyone Else - 0 - This is not an exaggeration. Every other Napoli player absolutely stank. Higuain? Marked out with ease in the first half hour, than played lazy as hell after that. De Guzman? Went right back to the useless, headless chicken version of himself he's been for three months. Callejon? Ditto. Lopez and Gargano? Liabilities. The defense? Scattered, ineffective, and played like they had never met each other before. Andujar? Couldn't have played Torino's goal much worse. The subs? Woefully ineffective.

Be better than this next time, Napoli.
