Both teams made some unexpected lineup decisions as Napoli take on Torino today, with both clubs desperately hoping for three points heading in to the international break.
Marek Hamsik has been left on the bench is out with tonsillitis after playing brilliantly during Napoli's recent run of matches, with Michu given the nod in attacking midfield instead. Hopefully that tactic works out better than it did last time around, when Michu killed a number of Napoli attacks through tentative play and showed little creativity.
Torino are rolling out Jean-Francois Gillet in goal for his second Serie A start after coming back from a year-long suspension stemming from the last round of Calciopoli scandals. They also made the surprise move of starting Bruno Peres on the left flank, giving Il Toro a more attacking look than expected.
Lineups:
Napoli (4-2-3-1): Rafael; Maggio, Albiol, Koulibaly, Zuniga; Inler, Gargano; Callejon, Michu, Insigne; Higuain
Torino (3-4-1-2): Gillet; Maksimovic, Glik, Moretti; Darmian, Benassi, Vives, Peres; El Kaddouri; Larrondo, Quagliarella
